San Francisco media Joining together to cover homelessness on June 29

On June 29, more than 70 media outlets in the San Francisco Bay area are teaming up to flood the news cycle with stories about homelessness. #SFHomelessProject is an opportunity for the media to raise public awareness about homelessness in San Francisco and beyond. Join the movement online.

  1. Email your local media outlets and ask them to cover homelessness on June 29.
  2. Tweet and post about homelessness in your community. Download our Social Media Guide for suggestions.
  3. Contact your local representatives and tell them that ending homelessness matters to you.

harvard university releases state of the nation's housing report
The housing market is in recovery, but affordability and other challenges still remain, according to The State of the Nation’s Housing report released today by the Joint Center for Housing Studies. A record number of renters are paying more than half their incomes for housing, and the need for more affordable rental housing is urgent.
